The system is equipped with an automated broadcaster that instantly delivers and broadcasts flight details on the screens in real time. Firnas is furnished with an advertisement component, allowing the airport to define and display rich promotional content of different types, such as scrolling text, images, and video clips.

The system has connections to both AFTN and SITA networks, allowing for Kuwait International Airport to exchange instant messages about flight statuses with other airports worldwide. Firnas installation for Kuwait International Airport will be underway within the few coming days.

Entebbe International Airport Expands its Existing Flight Information System from SEDCO

The Expansion Project, which was Carried out and Completed by SEDCO in a Short Timeframe of Four Weeks, Enabled the Airport to Meet a Very Tight Deadline Set Few Days before CHOGM meeting in Uganda

Entebbe, Uganda – December 1, 2007 – SEDCO has recently finalized the expansion of Entebbe International Airport's existing Flight Information System, FIRNAS, to include additional 15 flight information display screens. The expansion project, which was carried out in coordination with SEDCO's viable partner, Computer Point, was accomplished in a record time of 4 weeks, enabling the airport to meet a deadline set before CHOGM (Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting) in Uganda.

Entebbe International Airport is the main international airport in Uganda. It first acquired FIRNAS, a solution wholly tailored and developed by SEDCO, in 2005. The airport then was supplied with 31 display screens and integration with other airport facilities and systems, including SITA, AFTN, GAMS, among many others. The new expansion takes Entebbe International Airport a step forward in serving its seamlessly increasing number of passing by passengers, as the airport expands its reach to cover more passengers by increasing the number of its planes, and therefore flights and services.

FIRNAS Flight Information Display Screens offer real-time information about flights in different languages. Information like flight arrival, departure, and transit halls is displayed for the waiting passengers on the screens that are distributed throughout the airport, in association with automatic high-quality voice announcements. Multimedia promotional content about the airport can also be displayed on the screens. Seeb International Airport, Oman, Upgrades its Flight Information System from SEDCO

Upgrade Includes Expansion of Display Units to 75

Muscat, Oman – May 15, 2006 - SEDCO has upgraded the existing Firnas solution in Seeb International Airport to include additional 75 display units. These units were distributed on the airport's different halls to facilitate obtaining information about flights for the passengers.

The system allows for instant delivery of flight information to passengers in the airport. It automatically announces airport and flight messages and status, relieving operators at Seeb International airport from making routine repetitive announcements. It also enables the public to inquire about flights over the phone through its interactive voice response system.

The system has connections to both AFTN and SITA network, which enables automatic reception, interpretation and update of flight information.

Khartoum International Airport Adopts Firnas from SEDCO for its Flight Information Management System

The Acquired System Was Installed in the Airport's Newly Established Departure Terminal

Khartoum, Sudan – November 1, 2006 – Sedco has recently delivered the latest generation of its Flight Management Information System, Firans, to Khartoum International Airport in Sudan.

The airport, which is administrated by Sudan Civil Aviation Authority, had the need for expansion and renewal in order to cope with the increasing number of passengers passing through the airport.
