SEC Replaces its Meter Reading System with JABI

The Saudi Electricity Company Chooses to Rely on SEDCO's Electronic Meter Reading System, JABI EMR, to Automate its Work Processes and to Speed up Billing with the Highest Levels of Accuracy

Riyadh, KSA – May 15, 2006 – SEDCO has successfully implemented JABI Electronic Meter Reading System for the Saudi Electricity Company, SEC, Saudi Arabia.

For many years SEC had relied on other meter reading systems, none of which was capable of meeting all its needs, especially with the huge number of subscribers that the company serves. SEC had to find another solution that would allow for easier and more accurate collection of readings. The solution was in adopting the electronic meter reading system provided by SEDCO.

"We have been collaborating with SEC (Middle Region) since 2001," Said Wissam Sabha, Mobile Computing Solutions Manager at SEDCO. "Our provided system covers 72 branches, with 800 handheld computers to allow for collecting about one million readings per month with utmost ease and accuracy," he added.
